Frequently Asked Questions
Is book pickup really free?
Your first pickup is completely free (limited-time offer, until August 31, 2026). After that, a small pickup fee covers the courier cost. You can also use a voucher code if you have one.
What condition do books need to be in?
We accept books in any condition. Books in good condition are listed on our store. Books that are damaged beyond reading are responsibly recycled as scrap paper.
Can I donate school textbooks?
Yes! School textbooks are some of our most needed books. International curriculum books (IGCSE, A Level, IB) are especially valuable for families who cannot afford them.
Where do my books go?
Your books are listed on our online store. Families in Riyadh and across Saudi Arabia can order them — many for free, paying only a small delivery fee.
Where can I donate books in Riyadh?
Kitaaby is a Riyadh-based book donation platform. We come to your home to pick up your books for free — no need to drive anywhere or find a donation bin. Just book a pickup online and we handle the rest. We serve all districts of Riyadh including Olaya, Malqa, Nakhil, Al Sulimaniyah, Al Murabba, and more.
Can I give away books instead of donating them?
Yes! Giving away books (إهداء) is exactly what Kitaaby does. When you hand over your books to us, we list them on our store as free giveaway books. Families who cannot afford books can order them and pay only a small delivery fee. Your books find new readers instead of being thrown away.
I want to give away my used books — how do I do it in Riyadh?
If you want to give away your used books in Riyadh, Kitaaby makes it simple: visit kitaaby.com/pickup, enter the books you have and your address, and our driver comes to your home to collect them for free. We accept all types of books — school textbooks, novels, children's books, Islamic books, university books, in Arabic or English. Your books are inspected, graded, and listed on our store as free giveaway books for families who cannot afford them. This is better than throwing them away, selling them on Haraj, or letting them gather dust. It is also a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity).
