1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Kitaaby website (kitaaby.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all users including suppliers, customers, and visitors.

2. About Kitaaby

Kitaaby is a bilingual (Arabic/English) platform based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that facilitates the donation, giveaway, and resale of used books. Suppliers donate books and request home pickup. Books are inspected, graded, and listed on our store. Customers may order free books (paying only delivery) or purchase priced books. Kitaaby acts as an intermediary and is not the seller of individual books unless otherwise stated.

3. Supplier Responsibilities

Suppliers must provide accurate pickup address and contact details. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that the books they donate are legally owned by them and are free from any liens, claims, or restrictions. Suppliers agree to pay the applicable pickup fee as displayed at the time of request. Kitaaby reserves the right to refuse pickup of any books that are damaged beyond acceptable condition or contain prohibited content.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate delivery address and contact information. Customers are responsible for paying the delivery fee and the price of any priced books at the time of ordering. Orders for giveaway books require only the delivery fee. Customers agree to inspect books upon delivery and report any issues within 48 hours.

5. Payments

We support the following payment methods: online payment gateway, bank transfer, STC Pay, and cash on delivery (COD) where available. Payment must be completed before order fulfillment for non-COD methods. For COD, payment is collected by the courier upon delivery. Refunds, if applicable, are processed at the discretion of Kitaaby management and may take up to 14 business days.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Kitaaby arranges shipping through third-party courier services or human drivers within Riyadh and surrounding areas. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Kitaaby is not liable for delays caused by couriers, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. Tracking information, where available, will be shared with the customer via email and the order detail page.

7. Book Condition and Grading

All books are inspected and graded by Kitaaby warehouse staff. Grades include: Like New, Good, and Acceptable. The condition grade is displayed on each book listing. Kitaaby strives for accuracy but does not guarantee that every book will match the buyer's expectations. Customers may report condition discrepancies within 48 hours of delivery.

8. Limitation of Liability

Kitaaby shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific order giving rise to the claim. Kitaaby does not guarantee the availability of any specific book and reserves the right to remove listings at any time.
